What an amazing day at Loch Lomond. 15 fearless FEATers braved the cool water to swim from Tarbet to Balloch in relay style. Starting at 6am in Tarbet, FEAT Founder, Craig Stobo led the way into the dark Loch, quickly followed by a succession of fantastic swimmers, Mish Open, Fiona Begg, Daniela Brawley, Jo, John Twynholm, Leigh Bradley, Emma Lunan, Bob Lunan, Mirjam Allik, Graham Cowley, Graham James, Colleen Ledingham, Peter Queen, Jason Gill.
Lots of support people to thank, without whom we couldn’t have completed this challenge. Loch Lomond Rescue Boat pilots, Rennie and Ronnie and the two crews. Chris from Swim4miles (www.swim4miles.co.uk) for letting us use her boat. Support boat pilot Alan MacDonald. Inverbeg Holiday Park for allowing us to pick up and drop off our swimmers at their jetty. Lifeguards Rachel and Kenny who fortunately didn’t have much to do! Andy Nixon, our kayak king and Mark Cooper with his trailer boat who followed the swimmers all day!! Trustee, Colin Begg provided logistical and medical support throughout the day and fellow Trustee, Michael Scott and Liz Stobo provided on-shore support ferrying people along the loch and Liz also brought along her famous soup which was welcomed by all!
Thank you all so much for your hard work and effort – Looking forward to planning the next adventure guys!!
